This one lifts the curtain of the twaddle that goes on at the Team Principles / FIA Twonks' interface. All cloak-and-dagger stuff. Avoiding broken-glass left in the carpet as a tell-tale, peeking down darkened hallways, rushing for the Exit. It must be exhausting. Yet, the FIA Twonks keep evacuating more and more rules from the bowels of Mount Olympus.

The wick of my once bright flame-of-Interest has ablated under the vapid storm of Sky Sports narrators yelling at each other with their odious prattling. Much like a corral of turkey roosters in rut.

Strange though - they are almost an afterthought. What with all the: side-bars; interviews before the race; interviews with friendly Team Principles; close-ups of pre-adolescents eating ice-cream cones. All the important stuff. And then there are the ads.

Oh, n....

It went out.

It is an excellent article - and it represents the kind of twaddle that goes on in the paddock.

I've never really seen alot of that in the WRC. PLUS - I don't need to punish my hearing by witnessing Crusty and Blunder baying like werewolves under a Blue Moon.

They are the worst. Slap me with the bill of a monotreme.

I turned off the race and went to sink British ships in a really good sim called - oddly enough - "U-Boat".

Did no one else notice? The constant 84 dB piffle gushing out of Crusty's mouth, aided and abetted by Martin Blunder?

There was an eye in the Sky Sports hurricane, so to speak.

These were the moments observing Karun Chandhok providing performance and lap-analysis in succinct details. Not enough time to provide in-depth technicalities, but enough honest interpretation of events on-track and how the different drivers drove the same segment of the course. Brilliant stuff. WHY ISN'T HE NARRATING THE RACE?

Mr. Chandhok is a competitive racing driver. Often at Goodwood, always near the front.

Let's see where he stands after 6 races.
As for Brown just trying to stir up trouble for the team closest to them, has taken a leaf out of Wolff's playback, he would do the same when they were battling Red Bull.
Watch out Brown karma has a way of biting you on the backside if you try that tactic.

Sports car racing is more about competing in racing than F1 is these days, with all F1's tinsell, glitz and false glamour that has been imposed by Liberty.
Kevin just wants to race without all the false drama and BS that Liberty has manufactured via Netflix.
I wish him well, and believe he is up to the task.

Why ban it? F1 is supposedly the epitome of innovation and design which may flow on to improve road cars, while providing good close racing at the same time.
Sure, give them parameters within which to work, but also allow for more innovation to flow on to all teams in the interests of improving the racing.

He has a lot to lose but still a lot to prove, even though he has won 7 World Championships.

He has his work cut out now to show that he is the real deal and can not only win in the best car and carry the team on his back to win the World Championship.

I hope he will dig the deepest he has ever done and show his true strength. The first thing is that he has to stop winding about how difficult it all is...otherwise it's going to be a very loooong season for him with some great entertaining radio messages. Can't wait, when Ferrari is going to trow the plan A, B, C, D, E, F senarios at him. LOL

I was really happy to see Oscar pass Louise near the end to demote the Ferrari driver down another position! I think Eccles is right, Louise's best days are all behind him!

Better than expected from Mercedes especially Kimi. Red Bull still got it, no surprise there. Stroll disproving his critics. Ferrari, what went wrong?

Comment on 'Serious' Verstappen to Snub 'Nonsense' Red Bull Social Media Videos by shroppyfly https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-news/serious-verstappen-to-snub-nonsense-red-bull-social-media-videos/#comment-422478 Mon, 17 Mar 2025 07:41:09 +0000 https://www.f1-fansite.com/?p=305115#comment-422478 The development comes as De Telegraaf newspaper reports that McLaren CEO Zak Brown recently got in touch with Verstappen's management.

Brown admitted it was a single phone call to "explore the market".

And it was a No....,. so he offered Oscar an extension, its just business, just business lol

Comment on 'Serious' Verstappen to Snub 'Nonsense' Red Bull Social Media Videos by Don Marsh https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-news/serious-verstappen-to-snub-nonsense-red-bull-social-media-videos/#comment-422477 Mon, 17 Mar 2025 06:26:06 +0000 https://www.f1-fansite.com/?p=305115#comment-422477 Good call Max. I cringe at some of the vids Lando and Oscar are required to put out. Social media may be a big part of the entertainment side of F1 but the inanity and stupidity of some of the McLaren vids is sickening. I hope more drivers follow Max's example.
